Transport Plus (TP) is part of Out of Home Care Services (OOHC) at UMFC. TP was introduced at UMFC with the aim of providing a premium high quality, child focused service to support children, young people and families. All services provided by TP are delivered by qualified Transport Plus practitioners.

The three main areas of service  that TP provide are:

 

Transport

  • providing transport to children, young people and others to a variety of locations including school, appointments & placement changes. Well-maintained child restraints are provided where required.

Day Support & Mentoring

  • offering full and part-day support for children and young people by providing supervision and age-appropriate activities when school and alternative care options are unavailable. Youth mentoring is also available to support positive role modelling and life skill development.

Family Connection

  • supporting vulnerable children and young people to maintain a safe and secure relationship with their extended family members by facilitating Supervised and or monitored contacts in a nurturing and caring setting by qualified practitioners.
