Give a Gift
For Christmas 2024, we are excited to announce that we’re partnering with the Centre Against Violence (CAV) for a joint appeal!
Together we aim to support even more people in need across the region. With the rising cost of living continuing this year the festive season will be an especially challenging time for many families.
Last year, over 384 children and young people received presents and school supplies through the appeal. This figure doesn’t include the additional children we were able to support through other community organisations.
Every donation we receive goes directly to help vulnerable local children, young people and families.
Gift Ideas
Direct donation
A donation of any amount goes directly to children and young people in need during the festive season. Donations may be used for purchasing gift cards, craft or toys indivdualised to a child or young person’s key interests or needs.
Christmas and festive items
Your donation of Christmas and festive items such as Christmas trees, decorations and ornaments can help families bring joy into their homes, it can help families create real traditions and meaningful memories.
Books and educational resources
Donating books and educational resources supports learning and literacy in our communities. Your contribution can provide valuable resources that supports children’s development and helps expand knowledge and opportunities.
Back to school supplies
Donating school supplies enables UMFC to assist families in need by ensuring that children have the necessary items for their education. Your contribution helps alleviate financial burdens and promotes equal access to learning opportunities for all students.
Donation of gifts
We welcome donations of new gifts such as toys, sporting goods and gift cards for those aged newborn to 18 years. Enjoying a night out at the movies for children, young people and families in need is a treat that is getting harder to afford. Gift cards can enable UMFC to provide choice to children and young people to purchase their own items or for a carer or parent to purchase gifts they would otherwise may not be able to afford.
Personal Care Kits
A personal care donation supports families in need with essential hygiene, care and beauty products. Your gift helps promote dignity and well-being for individuals facing challenging circumstances.
