Join our movement – one child, one family at a time, together we are positively shifting the dial for vulnerable children and families within our regional, rural and remote communities.

A message from the CEO

At Upper Murray Family Care (UMFC), we are passionate about providing support for children and families in their time of need.

I made the decision to join UMFC in early 2022 – it has been the best career decision of my life. I am in awe of our extraordinary and passionate people. The work we do is challenging, but we ensure that the welfare of the children we support is paramount.

Every day, we all lean into our values – unwavering integrity, considered empathy, determined advocacy, passionately optimistic, bravely collaborative. We welcome diversity and encourage people from diverse backgrounds to apply for our roles, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, or from culturally and linguistically diverse and LGBTIQ+ communities. If those values resonate with you, then please consider joining UMFC.

We have a fresh, innovative and highly capable Executive and leadership team who are taking carriage of the development of our new Strategic Plan.

UMFC operates in an increasingly complex environment; however, I absolutely believe that the commitment, passion and enthusiasm of our practitioners, support staff and leaders will ensure UMFC grows and thrives for the benefit of our communities in North East Victoria and Southern NSW. We are committed and focused on providing an inspiring, safe and trust-filled environment for all at UMFC. This includes a commitment to supporting the personal and professional development of all of our staff, paying attention to supporting work and life balance through individualised flexible work arrangements, and investing in learning and studying for career advancement.

At UMFC, we take psychological safety of all of our staff extremely seriously. To that end, all staff have access to external supervision as needed, as well as our Employee Assistance Program.

With the commencement of our new Strategic Plan, this is a great time to become a member of the UMFC team and be an active contributor to UMFC’s next chapter.

– Felicity Williams, CEO
