Free Workshops for Local Clubs & Community Groups (ongoing)

Event held 19 March 2026

This free workshop helps coaches, volunteers, leaders and community members better understand how trauma can shape behaviour in children and young
people, and how we can respond in ways that are supportive, inclusive and effective.

  • Participants will gain insight into:
The impact of trauma on children and young
    people’s behaviour
  • Why some responses often escalate behaviour
    rather than resolve it
  • What trauma‑informed responses look like in sport,
    clubs and community settings
  • Practical strategies to support children and young
people to safely participate and feel included

Why This Matters For Community and Sporting Groups?
Sporting clubs and community groups play a vital role in children’s lives. With the right knowledge and tools,
leaders can:

  • Improve engagement and participation
  • Support children without excluding them

This workshop is tailored to real‑life community and sporting contexts.
