About Trust in Kids
Trust In Kids provides a timely boost to the most vulnerable kids and young people in our local community when there is nowhere left to turn.
Almost 1 in 5 Australian kids are living in poverty. There is a real need in our community to give local kids a ‘fair go’ and receive everyday opportunities they’d otherwise miss out on.
Some kids need help with basic necessities, such as bedding and furniture, other times it’s assistance with school costs, music, dance, or swimming lessons.
Your support can make a massive difference to a vulnerable child’s development, and help make them feel valued by our community.
Every cent you donate is spent on local kids and is tax deductible.
Our Dedication
Independence
When there is nowhere else to go, Trust In Kids ensures our kids have a sense of purpose. Trust In Kids gives young people hope and the opportunities to develop and succeed in our community:
• bedding for a kinship carer of 4 children (all under 5)
• independent living set-up
• contribution to 1 week Tasmania holiday with aunt
• driving lessons/car insurance
Education
Trust In Kids help children financially to further their abilities by supporting and assisting them in all aspects of their schooling lives, by assisting with:
• TAFE courses
• uniforms & books
• apprenticeships
• laptops & software
• tutor fee
Recreation
Being a community fund Trust In Kids has the ability to support a variety of different children’s needs. Whether it be for schooling or recreation Trust In Kids is here to help. Examples of the activities Trust In Kids are able to assist with are:
• swimming lessons
• guitar lessons
• school camp fees
• trampoline
• scouts membership
• new bike
Special Needs
Trust In Kids is a strong driver and believer of all our kids being treated as equals, ensuring that all kids get the same opportunities to grow their dreams. Trust In Kids makes this possible by assisting in activities such as:
• dance lessons, photos, family tickets, dress, makeup for Deb Ball
• disability services assistance
• autism assessment
Our Donors
Thank you to all our donors for your generosity and support – even the smallest contribution can help change a life. With your great generosity we have been able to disburse over $56,000 to 114 kids, averaging nearly $500 per kid since 2013.
Our donations come from private donors, businesses, community groups, and our staff, which helps us in our mission of strengthening families and individuals to build vibrant communities.
