PRE-SCHOOL FIELD OFFICERS

At UMFC we recognise that some children require additional support to ensure that they participate and benefit from a rewarding kindergarten experience.

Our Preschool Field Officers (PSFO) work alongside early childhood educators and families to support children who attend kindergarten and have additional needs ensuring all children are able to access and learn in the kindergarten program regardless of their abilities.

Our PSFOs visit children within the kindergarten setting observing and assessing the child’s strengths and needs.  From this assessment they assist the early childhood educators to adapt their educational programs to provide positive learning experiences which suit the child’s individual needs and offer support and information to the family.

Eligiblity:
UMFC’s PSFOs are based in Wangaratta and Wodonga and offer service to children attending kindergartens in the Local Government Areas of Wangaratta, Alpine, Wodonga, Indigo and Towong.
